Voice For Commercials
I’ve been doing commercials for many decades…in fact, my first one was at the age of 15-16 for a local nursery in Central Ohio. I wasn’t even quite employed in radio yet, but I was hanging around the station a lot and they decided to utilize my services. I was incredibly excited, of course. In the many years since, I have recorded thousands of commercials for products and services, along with the same concept for nonprofit organizations and stations (program promos). In the broadcast arena, radio came in first around the 1920s/30s, then TV some years later…but the internet has truly transformed advertising in the online space, whether on individual web sites, or platforms like YouTube (often both). I remember hearing my voice on a TV commercial for the first time in the early 1980s, when watching Hill Street Blues and they went to commercial break. It was for an area car dealer. That was a big deal for me (even after years in radio) and told me I could do this thing for real. 😉
Anyway, no matter the desired tone, I have provided the voice tracks for many TV and radio spots, and scads of online ads. I’ll just drop a demo in here, so you can get an idea of some of the styles of work I’ve done. If you need an experienced voice to help shape the public image of your product or service, don’t hesitate to get in touch!
